Yees, I am learning to speak Welsh. Ive basically given up on German because it really does suck. Ive always wanted to learn Welsh and Latin, so im starting with Welsh. I am learning Southern Welsh, cause (i personally) think that it is cooler than the north. Not saying ive got anything against the north mind.

Peoples say that Welsh is a hard language, but I am finding it really quite easy, Ive basically got the accent down pat (southern). I got it moistl yfrom listening to people who have the accent speaking on youtube, or from watching Gwen and Ianto on Torchwood 83 SQUEE. Iantos accent to smexy!!

Anywho, since some of me friends here on DA are from the U.K. I was wondering if they happened to read this here journal, they would be able to give me some Welsh phrases or tips on pronunciations. T'would be greatly appreciated.

Things ive learnt so far;;;

Bore da = Good morning
Prynhawn da = good afternoon
Nos da = Goodnight
Shwmai = (informal) Hiya!
Go lew = okay
wedi blino = tired
hwyl = goodbye
lawn, diolch = ???
Pwy= who
Pwy duch chi? = who are you?
(this is a hard one xD) Braf cwrdd ậ chi = nice to meet you
Sut dych chi? = how are you?
Noswaith dda = good evening

And of course, how to introduce maself = Tellybox dwi. ^^
